THE "LAMAR BEADS-FOR-BREASTS MARDI-GRAS BALL"

January started off with a bang as The Arizona Republic paid tribute to Heidi Lamar in their Local Business Profile on January 4th. Three weeks later, the Scottsdale Republic referred to The Lamar as "One of the cities best date places". A writer from The Boston Herald visited on Jan 21st and ABC radio host Erik Hastings stopped by with a video crew to tape a "Hastings on Scottsdale" segment that is due to air this spring. WEDDING AND EVENT NETWORK PARTYS AT THE LAMAR

On Janury 26th, over 150 of Phoenix's top wedding and special events planners gathered at The Lamar to dazzle one another with the hottest new trends in event planning. The evening included a live concert by The Spin, Appetizers by M&M Personal Chefs and Pour Masters provided the libations. Floral sculptures by Jolie Jour, Videography by A Shore Thing and Photography by Marcia Mauskopf completed the transformation of our little day spa into a fairytale wedding spot.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: Marcy McIntyre

Please join us in congratulating your choice for Employee of the Month, Marcy, McIntyre. As a massage therapist, Marcy has helped people recover from many injuries over the years. Last month, after being involved in a serious auto accident, she gained a more personal perspective on healing. Despite her injuries, Marcy still managed to receive the largest number of votes for Employee of the Month. Among the reasons her clients gave for choosing Marcy was this one: "Her fingers have that special "feel" that very few massage therapist are blessed with. Marcy helped me through a very trying period in my life. I do not believe my healing would have progressed as well as it did without her help and concern." Happily, Marcy's healing has progressed as well and she is now back helping others to heal. As our February Employee of the Month, Marcy will receive a commemorative trophy, priority parking and a pair of tickets to a Phoenix Suns game.
